The Ministry of Commerce provides state incentives of up to $ 7.000.000 to Health Institutions and Health Tourism Intermediary Institutions that accept/receive international patients. Health tourism incentives are carried out by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Trade (formerly the Ministry of Economy).

 

Health Tourism Authorization Certificate is required to benefit from health tourism incentives. We provide comprehensive consultancy services on Health Tourism Incentives and Health Tourism Authorization Certificate.

 

Health Tourism Intermediary Institution - Agency and Health Institutions (hospital, clinic, medical center, practice, etc.) can receive the following incentives. Although they can receive other incentives, Health Tourism agencies cannot receive interpreter incentive by way of patients.

1. Health Tourism Rental Incentive for Abroad - Rental Incentive for Pre-diagnosis Center, Office, Establishment, Stand Opening Abroad

The Ministry provides a non-refundable incentive for 5 years for 60% of the rents of establishments and offices opened abroad.

You can get this incentive for up to 25 different units.

Incentive Upper Limit: 4.809.000TL per year (per unit)

Incentive Rate: 60-70%

Incentive Period: 5 Years

 

2. Health Tourism  Advertising Incentive for Abroad- Advertising/Promotion and Marketing Incentive for Abroad

Non-refundable grant incentive is given for 5 years by the Ministry of 60% of the payments related to the following advertising promotion incentive made abroad.

 

• TV and radio advertisements
• Print promotion
• Website design
• Social media advertisements (including platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Google, influencer, whatclinic, realself etc.)
• Promotions held indoors and outdoors
• Other promotional expenses (catalogues, giveaways, etc.)

 

Incentive Upper Limit: 12.023.000TL per year

Incentive Rate: 60-70%

Incentive Period: 5 Years

 

 

3. Health Tourism - Brand Registration Incentive for Abroad

 

The Ministry provides a non-refundable grant incentive for 60% of the "Trademark Registration" application fees made for the protection of the trademark of the company abroad.

 

Incentive Upper Limit: 1.202.000TL

 per year

4. Health Tourism - Commission Payment Incentive to Agencies

In the health tourism sectors, commission payments to agencies for bringing international patients to our country are supported.

Incentive Amount:  2.404.000 TL (Annual)

Incentive Rate: 60%

Duration: 5 Years

 

8. Health Tourism - Supporting Market Entry Documents

It was carried out to ensure that companies comply with the technical legislation regarding environment, quality and human health, and to open and operate a pre-diagnosis center, office;

 

• All kinds of certification expenses, including training and consultancy, regarding quality, hygiene, environmental documents, relevant licenses and permits, and documents/certificates that are required to enter a country's market or that provide an advantage in entering the market

60% of them are given non-refundable grant incentive by the Ministry.

9. Health Tourism -Employment Incentive

• Personnel employed by health institutions in the country and providing translation services have a monthly gross salary of 60% and a maximum of 4.809.000TL per employee per year.
• Expenses for the procurement of translation services at the rate of 50% and up to a maximum of $50,000 per year

Incentive Duration: 4 Years

 

10. Health Tourism - Supporting Flight Tickets for Patients Brought From Abroad - Patient Travel Incentive

• If patient is brought to Turkey by scheduled flight, 60% of the plane or other transportation expenses  per patient and a maximum of 24.000TL
• All transportation expenses, provided that it does not exceed 24.000TL per patient, if it is brought to Turkey by non-scheduled (charter) flights.

Incentive Amount: 12.023.000TL

Incentive Rate: 60%

Incentive Duration: 5 Years

 

After the airline companies are included in the "Patient Travel Incentive" - "Patient Travel Legislation" program carried out by the Ministry of Commerce (formerly the Ministry of Economy) to support the promotion of health tourism in Turkey, 60% of the flight costs of the patients are supported within the scope of the incentive and half of the fee is refunded to the foreign patient, who is a health tourist.

 

11. Health Tourism - Incentive Program for International Fair, Congress, Conference, Seminar, Festival Participation

Fair participation expenses and economy class round-trip transportation expenses of maximum two representatives

Incentive Upper Limit: 1.202.000TL  (Per Event)

Incentive Rate: 60-70%

 

KOSGEB Health Tourism Incentives

A small amount of incentive can be given to entrepreneurs who establish a company for the first time by KOSGEB within the scope of the traditional entrepreneurship program. However, the main and important Health Tourism Incentives are given by the Ministry of Commerce as listed above.

Health Tourism Certificate Program- How to Obtain a Health Tourism Authorization Certificate?

Health Tourism Authorization Certificate is given to the following organizations by the Ministry of Health;

• Intermediary institutions that are tourism agencies engaged in Health Tourism
• Health institutions such as public, private and university hospitals, Medical Center, Practice, clinic, IVF center, physical therapy center, oral and dental health centers, dental clinics
