R&D Center Establishment Incentives

You can contact Plus Global Consulting to become an R&D Center and to benefit from R&D Center incentives by obtaining an R&D Center Certificate.

R&D Center incentives are given by the Ministry of Industry and the list of R&D Centers is published on the Ministry's website (Turkey R&D Centers List and Turkey Design Centers List 2020).

 

The necessary technical and consultancy incentive is provided by Plus Global Consulting, and the application, information and document collection, R&D Center establishment and maintenance and reporting process are carried out.

 

      What is R&D Activity?

Creative works carried out on a systematic basis to design new processes, systems and applications are activities that provide scientific and technological development in the field with environmentally compatible product design or software activities, focus on scientific and technological uncertainty, and have original, experimental, scientific and technical content.

 

      What is R&D Activity?

They are units organized as a separate unit within the organizational structure, engaged in research and development activities exclusively in the country, employing at least 15 full-time equivalent R&D personnel, having sufficient R&D experience and ability, and located in the same building or on the same campus.

      Do You Have The Requirements To Become An R&D Center?

The requirements are as follow;

• Having at least 15 Full Time Equivalent R&D personnel who will work as researchers and technicians in the R&D Center
• Having programs and projects with defined subject, duration, budget and personnel needs in the R&D center
• The R&D center is organized as a separate unit and is located in a single campus or physical space
• Having mechanisms to physically control the R&D and support personnel working in the R&D Center
• Having sufficient R&D management and technological assets, human resources, intellectual property, project and information resources management capability and capacity
• Realization of R&D activities in the country

      What are the Advantages of Being an R&D Center?

Companies that create R&D Centers can benefit from the following state incentives as long as the projects carried out in the R&D Center continue:

• Base Discount for R&D Activities (100%)
• Income Tax Exemption/Withholding Incentive(80-95%)
• Insurance Employer Premium Share Incentive(50%)
• Stamp Duty Exemption (100%)
• Customs Duty Exemption (100%)
• Basic Sciences Personnel Employment Incentive(100%)

To create a Design Center, you must meet the following requirements:

 

• Having at least 10 Full Time Equivalent Design personnel who will work as researchers and technicians in the Design Center,
• Having programs and projects with defined subject, duration, budget and personnel needs in the design center,
• The design center is organized as a separate unit and is located in a single campus or physical space,
• Having mechanisms to physically control that design and support personnel are working in the Design Center,
• Having adequate design management and the ability and capacity to manage technological assets, human resources, intellectual property, project and information resources,
• Realization of design activities in the country.
